i already wrote to baucus and tester — also rehberg. to tell them that IF the resolution gets out of committee (and that I hoped it would) they should support it in the house (for rehberg) and if it got to the senate floor B & T should support it. I’ll write to kucinich right now. thanks gabe

well, sorry to say that unless HR 799 makes it out of the house Judiciary committee, the senate won’t even get a chance to vote on it.
The best thing you can do at this point is to write Kucinich (impeachment(at)kucinich.us) and tell him you support his actions, and why, because he is collecting emails to bring to the house judiciary committee to persuade them to let the bill go on to a vote. Currently it is stalled out in committee, but if enough people want them to vote on it, they will pull it from committee. Once it goes through the house, then its time to start bugging your senators.
You could also write your rep and tell them how you feel, although unless they are on the judicial committee, there is little they can accomplish.

I believe Kucinich is spot-on, Gabe and I’m glad you posted your article about it. I’m writing an email today but I know Baucus will mostly likely vote against Kucinich’s bill — he might as well be a Repulse-ican for all the votes he cast with the elephants. Hopefully Tester will stick with the values he says he has and vote to get rid of Cheney. :-[

this is a really thoughtful and interesting post, Gabe … not to mention beautiful. I love your freeway and bridge drawings. Weird — I have always thought when you titled a drawing “Freemont” that you meant the Seattle Freemont Bridge — and I just thought it had changed alot since I lived in Seattle. Now I know there is a Freemont Bridge in P-town!
